Temporary Hiatus

I haven't posted anything around this time and the next 'cause my Finals are coming and I have to intensively redraft my Final Report for my Pre-Internship.
Aside from that I have no other excuse. Things have getting pretty intense lately.
My apologies.

Running from Fear

I know that I do not constantly or actively post something or anything in my blog. Even though I gave reasons of being too busy at school midterms or finals, school activities and, reports and presentations, or household chores, there was this simple reason of why I haven't done anything much:

I was scared.

I was scared of drawing again because I was fully aware of the young(er) talented artist surrounding me. I was fascinated by their art styles, observing their ways, wishing that if I could be as half as good as them and regretted of not taking the opportunity I had when I was younger. It later made me become more insecure of my abilities to draw.  (<-- Reason why i don't have DeviantArt and not claiming myself as an artisit)

I was scared of pursuing my dreams knowing that I have to work on a company or an orthodox office soon after graduating to a course that is far different from my passion, reality wise.

I was also scared to tell people of what I wanted to become, not taking it seriously or telling me to stop chasing my childish dreams and get a real goal or job that would earn me a profit.

It was a bit of an internal struggle for me because I wanted to draw something, I wanted to take pictures, I loved doing these things but I was clouded by these thoughts and thought that it was impossible and I had to give up.
.
.
.
.
.
As time passed by, I was reading several testimonies from several artists of DeviantArt. They shared their experiences with their struggles and how they were able to pursue their dream despite the concerns of their family for not having a "proper" job. Some also shared their insecurities of their art which they were comparing it to other people. But these people didn't gave up and continue to do what they love to do.

This made me realised that I cannot be happy or satisfied with my work if I compare my art with other people. I know that it's "basic" common sense but it wasn't easy for me to understood why until now. Each and everyone has their own unique style of expressing their art. They, too, started from the bottom and was able to reach the level to where they are now and they're still growing! It may take years but constant practice will soon pay off. It wouldn't be possible unless I try.

And even though I would soon be working in the Business Communications field of work, it doesn't hinder me from doing the things I love to do. I can still draw, I can still take pictures. God gave me these gifts and I shouldn't put them to waste.

I do not want to run from this fear anymore....

A time to mourn

Yesterday, 13 October 2016, King Bhumibol of Thailand has passed away. His majesty reigned the Kingdom for 70 years and marked as the longest King to reign a country. His monarch was also the richest in the world and have brought prosperity to his country from the brink of poverty and the civil war. He made more than a 1000 of projects that would bring benefit for his people and for his country and is always hands-on to the needs of the Thai people.

"If you were to say about my title, I am a king. But what I do here is not a king, it is something different. I do things that I think is useful, that's all."

He was, without a doubt, well loved by his people. He wasn't a god or just a king, but a father to his people. I have never seen such kind, humble and generous king but here in Thailand. I have witnessed how much the Thai people loved and respected their king in whichever activity or contest, and wherever they go in the world. He have contributed a lot for his people, especially during the time in the 2011 flood, I was deeply touched by his efforts to ensure his people are safe.

"How can I lay in bed when my people have nowhere to sleep?"

He may not be my king nor it isn't from my country but it was truly heartbreaking and sad to see a king like him to pass away so suddenly. They have lost someone so precious to them but they, the Thai people, are so blessed to have a king like him.  I would like to express my deepest and most sincere condolence for the Thai people. We grieve with you and shall pray for your recovery.

Rest in peace, King Bhumibol Adulyadej. You will be missed.

The current situation is requesting a 1 year mourning for the king, everyone has to wear black. Foreigners are requested to respect the 1 year mourning as well and the security is also noted that they need to bring their ID papers and/or passport or a copy of it. There are also no loud music, party or any activities held for one month starting today.

Two new stories, five new OCs

I know, I know..... I haven't done anything Crystalist-related but other stories kept popping up on my mind so I decided to draw them as an introduction to you all.

Gakuen!Shinsengumi

Kondo, Hijikata, and Okita, do any of their names ring a bell? That's right! These three are loosely based of the Shinsengumi's Kondo Isami, Hijikata Toshizo, and Okita Souji and so on with notable members such as Hajime Saito, Yamazaki Susumu, Yamanami Keisuke, Todo Heisuke, and others!
((I just chose these 3 cause i read an article that they are quite close to each other))

The story goes as the school that they are attending is located at certain area where it is known to have lots of delinquents/gangs and is still increasing in numbers! The school, with the permission of the police force, recruited and/or assigned students with some fighting "gifts" or "talents" to defend the school and its students from dangerous people in and out! And so the school established a group called The G.S. or Gakuen-Shinsengumi..... ((it sucks, i know))
The story will be both action pack and comedy, but I haven't quite arranged the story outline yet.

Bat-kun and Birdie-chan
'Bat-kun and Birdie-chan' is basically a bat and a bird been personified as humans!
There won't be a standard story outline since it will be a somewhat-random comic strip that has both educational facts and comedic stories of these two's unique friendship.

To be honest, I seem to have dedicated most of my drawing time on these two since their drawings, personalities, and stories are quite easy to make-//shotsfiredbyotherOCs
But really, I have drawn quite a lot about them both on paper and on graphics...

(Bat-kun and Birdie-chan in the "sunset")

(Bat-kun's profile)

(Birdie-chan's profile...well, some of it ._. )

Aside from The Crystalist, there are two other stories that i drafted with... I should start focusing on one story first then the other...

((I can feel the hatred aura from The Crystalist OCs))

Can't catch 'em all :(

It pains me to know that #PokemonGo is available in my country but not available in Thailand, where I'm currently staying at.

Redrawn: His awesomeness

Aaaaagggggghhhhhh! It's been almost a year or more that I haven't drawn anything through my G. Tab! I somehow and miraculously able to had the opportunity to draw once again! But- Ugh.... I got used to draw with 3 layers limited and the art style form the Tab/smartphone that I thought as an alternative way to draw digitally...I really need to keep in touch with the G. Tab no matter what time or how late it will be finished! > <

I was supposed to draw a new story of mine (just a short web comic) and planned to make as their official debut but t'was difficile beaucoup >A< SO- I ended up redrawing my O.C., Ian from The Crystalist, as a- how do you say it....a practice? A head start? Or something...
But I was also inspired and encouraged by other great artist out there with their Redrawn posts.
They too started from scratch and made their way to a pro level! ^ v ^

I never really knew how much differences it made in almost 5 years o.o I always thought that my art is still the same and my skills haven't improved much. But looking back at it, you started to realize how far you've went through and when you looked forward, you still have a lot to catch up to. I'm kinda happy and felt blessed about this :)

I wanna do this again sometime and hopefully be able to make an official and proper web comic!

Btw, you might wonder why Ian's eyes were changed from full dull sky blue to blue AND red. Well, there were changes in the story that I drafted which caused him and his twin to have this but I can't spill it out for you yet! ;)
Au revoir mon ami!

Ooh La Nya~!

A quick crossover art between Neko Atsume: Cat Collector and The Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noir!

(And no, I haven't watched the series yet, just heard of it.)

Catching up?

It felt like a year that I haven't properly drawn anything good. My hands aren't responding nor doing what my brain wants them to do. I'm loosing my touch!

I tried a couple of doodles using my phone's app called the Sketchbook pro or something...
It looks okay, but I miss drawing in the computer and the graphic tab DX

No doodles, no study :/

I know I'm supposed to study hard since it's the final exam for this semester but I can't relax without doodling or drawing something, no exaggeration!
So I end up drawing a random guy.

...He's not bad though...

These two below are kind of a new OCs of mine. They're space pilots with a cat-dog-like relationship, a story that was based on a creepy dream I had. Too creepy that I had to milk it a little bit.

After this, I promised myself to sleep.... but I got too carried away and end up drawing the random dude digitally...

Hence, I created a cheap otome game XD. (The brown text box with a tree isn't mine. Credits goes to the owner!)

Shattered Glass

On the way home, I saw some pieces of of glassed mirror shattered on the street and it was nicely placed forming a line to the sun set.

Leisure time pictures

I forgot to post some pictures that I took from my phone. And I just learned that you can actually be a photographer no matter what kind of camera or a device you're using!

I got this at AIT, the flowers there usually bloom on February and they're all very pretty!

I saw these Express Lanes along side the Cheng Watthana road. I was captivated by the leading lines but I'm not sure if I took the shot nicely :/

These set of light lamp can be found at Future Park, a mall! Their lamp art style  is quite mesmerizing!

The more you stare, the more you're mesmerized by its structures. It's at Zpell btw.

A panoramic view of Victory Monument (อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ) Seeing this monument often gives me a nostalgic feel! > <

This right here is at the school dorm's corridor. It was quite dark but the lighting was sunny. I wanted to took the exact same color but I couldn't... DX

I will never forget the smell of the beach!

My friends and I were in a leadership training camp with other students from other universities at Patthaya. What's famous at Patthaya? The beach!

Yep, our base was located beside the beach and we only had like 30 minutes to enjoy the beach before we leave (we arrive at night time the day before, btw).

As we visited the beach, we were kind of overwhelmed and excited about it since it's been years we haven't visited an actual beach!  SO we took a bunch of pictures and went nuts ._."

Hot... super hot

As much as I want to go and enjoy the Songkran festival, it's better to stay at home and rest. The temperature is around 35° to 40° C and it is very very hot, so hot that the heat can damage the skin!

Thursday, 14 April 2016

Better to be safe than sorry!

Today's the middle of Songkran day and I've noticed in the pictures that Police are everywhere patroling all the locations of this festival making sure that everything and everyone is safe and secured.
I'm pretty sure they don't mind getting soak with water.
((The drawing is for entertainment purposes only ;)  ))

Behind the Cameras

We had a photo shoot at Ladprao called "Soi84 Studio" and the location was ridiculously far!!!
So yeah, we had a photo shoot focusing on portrait photos.
We warmed up by eating pizzas (since we all hadn't eaten lunch yet) and then proceed to the outdoor lesson.

We had hips of fun, taking each other's turns and making ourselves as models  (except me, I refused!) So we used our teacher's camera and we took pretty good pictures but this one was quite something:
While I was taking some extra photos on my phone, the timing of the monolight or something wasn't right which resulted to this thing. I kinda like it since it only highlights the skin and left dress and the hair remain black. :)

So yeah, it was pretty fun and all but the traffic was the only problem we had.

Kumustaaaa!

I have noticed that most foreigners (west and east and everywhere) often mistook "kumusta" as single greeting phrase like "Sawasdee" in Pasa-Thai or "Menggalaba" in Myenmar.

"Kumusta ka" or simply "Kumusta" actually means 'How are you' in Filipino. It derives from the Spanish phrase "Como estas", however, like I mentioned above, they mistook it as a greeting since Filipinos tend to say 'how are you' first when they meet someone they knew.

(my friends sometimes got confused when i replied to them... ^ ^" )

Just leave me be

It's funny, really. When people dislike you they should have just avoid talking to you or look at you and go somewhere far away from you instead of being near you and faking it like they like you and criticise and gossip behind your back. I don't get their "logic".
If you don't like, please, just leave me be...

Forget Me Not event

Cybird released a story event for Midnight Cinderella a week ago and the first thing I noticed was the title "Forget Me Not".

It may seems nothing out of the ordinary but for Filipinos, well, it does.
Dr. José Rizal, the Philippines' national hero, wrote a book called "Noli Me Tángere". It's was a fictional book with a hidden message of the idea of opposing against the Spanish rule during his time.
What relates to this is just the Title: "Noli Me Tángere" which means "Forget Me Not" in Latin and the story event of the game was about the Princess had an amnesia and her "prince consort" is internally asking her not to forget him,. Quite interesting though XD .

More from BBK

I had some few extra pictures left on my journey to the Gran Palace. So yeah, here ya go!

Roar!

This one was another Monument (I forgot the name) and it was a "lucky" shot. The bus was moving around it so I had to take a quick pic!

It's actually nice to travel somewhere you've never been before. Although I'm here for around 6 years but there were places I haven't see or went like this one here. The buildings are already abandoned but they preserved it well and as you noticed the designs were quite western! The memory from my Thai History lessons hit me and felt in awe that I'm actually in front of where historical buildings are!
